Louann-watch out!

Im going to catch up to you girl! i just checked my weight--whoo hoo..its probably just the thryoid medication kicking in again..or maybe its because im better at working out BETTER at the gym..i've been doing MORE weight and LESS reps now..i can FINALLY see some muscle formation--i TOTALLY GET why boys STARE at themselves in the mirror at their muscles! its kinda fun to think "hey i did that!" rock on!

i notice that i kind of just eat what i want..just small portions of it..also on the sweets.. i have a little here and there..so far so good..i figure im burning more muscle and need the energy to burn it!

So I finally figured it out...

I'm sad that it took me this long. All this time, I have been trying to have something low in points (WW) for breakfast so that I could eat a pretty good lunch...Well, all that was doing for me was making me hungry and cranky and yucky (blood sugar wise) feeling all day. I decided to start having a good breakfast. I'm not a huge fan of breakfast food, I usually like it better for dinner than anything else and I don't like oatmeal or any other type of hot cereal...So I have been having a scrambled egg on toast sandwich for breakfast around 9 each morning...What a huge difference it makes! I feel full all day from it. I have been having an apple or some other small snack in the early afternoon, but I'm not even feeling hungry. We'll see if the scales like what I'm doing when Monday morning rolls around.

1 WHOLE GALLON

In one day is a ton of water.. I haven't done the math, but maybe I should be drinking more! :)

I drink 32 ounces at a time..

1 before I eat breakfast

1 before I eat lunch

2 between lunch and dinner

I spent a lot of time in the bathroom... I am not doing it today.. still drinking.. just not quite as much.. and tommorrow with church I dont' know if I can squeeze it in.. we'll see

4 DAy'S in a RoW

to the gym.. have done about 3 miles each time.. and that is walking on an incline and doing the eliptical..

a gallon of water is a lot.. I don't think I have got a whole gallon in, but close..

the sugar is hard for me.. I am definately addicted to sugar.. I am cutting way back though so that is a good thing!

I am feeling good!

My first post here

okay.. so I probably have more weight to lose than anyone else who even reads this. I am not going to post my weight.. but lets just say I have a lot to lose. I am tall.. at 5'10 so I tend to gain weight and not have it real noticable till I gain a lot.. When I got married 12 years ago yesterday I weighed about 175.. and wore a size 14.. I don't ever remember wearing anything smaller than that.. except for a second as a freshman I think I wore a size 11... ANYWAY... I gained 60 pounds each time I got pregnant.. and didn't lose it all every time.. So now that my baby is 4.. I am looking at my stomach and just thinking.. umm... I look like I could be pregnant and that is NOT good..
SOOO today.. I am starting no sugar... I ate cracked wheat with splenda for breakfast and just now ate some string cheese. I burned 630 calories this am at the gym on the treadmill and eliptical... I have drunk a ton of water.. and when I have lost weight before.. I was down to 177 before I got pregnant with Luke ... I have drunk a ton of water.. a gallon a day.. that is a ton of time in the bathroom, but it tends to keep me focused on a task and it keeps my stomach and mouth busy... also when I have lost weight before I joined WW and did tae bo daily and also walked.. I dont' know that I am going to join WW.. I know how to do it.. we'll see how it goes..

So there are some of my goals.. gym every day.. a gallon of water a day.. and no sugar, and of course eat carefully!

One week down & newest craving!


Im VERY happy to report that both Kristen and I have made it 5 DAYS this week to the gym! YA FOR US!! we do weights and then 30 minutes cardio--OH YA! feeling awesome!


for some reason these are my newest cravings lately! Sandra bought these and they are SO YUM! they are WHITE peaches--SO SO GRUB!

My first post

SOOOOOO---after secretly reading the "diet & exercise blog" for months---I actually stepped foot into the gym--so I feel worthy to post!! well that, and I finally figured out HOW to post!

Since I'm playing catch up- -Congrats Lou on the biggest loser trophy!!!

-Shauna-amazing you even thought of exercise during all the moves
-Congrats to you all for working so hard, as I sat on my butt, eating brownies, while reading how you were all working so hard!!!

It has been fun to hear all your funny, inspirational, encouraging stories, they have motivated me on more than one occasion to grab another brownie and read some more!!

LA Fitness Here I Come!!!

Oh...the day is FINALLY HERE!!!!!! With a month and a half of no gym time (or working out of ANY kind) I, as well as my mid-section, are dying to get back to the gym!!! The kids start school tomorrow and after I drop J off at school I will be heading to the gym!!! Man, it's just in time...this past week was the breaking point for my weight gain, I haven't gained any all summer and then this past week (probably due to A LOT of "end of the summer" indulging) BOOM I've gained 2 pounds.

I have to run at least 2 miles on the treadmill b/c I know I won't be able to do what I used to b/c I'll be sucking so much wind due to the lack of cardio all summer! Yikes.

I am very excited to get back into my school routine just b/c I NEED to get this place organized and start exercising....I've been putting it off ALL summer. Those are the only reasons I'm glad to get these kids back to school.

was the compliment i got from sarah cannell today at the gym-i was STOKED! rock on! although your still smaller then me..that just made my day!!

i will revel in that compliment and reward myself with my usual friday western bacon cheeseburger combo-only this time im switching to lemonade instead of soda..oh crap i just remembered...jons dad is doing a diet too! so guess i'll be eating somewhere healthy DANGT!!!

Ugh

My computer is getting fixed so I haven't been able to keep up too well with this blog. Hopefully it will be done soon! I just wanted to let you in on a little something that I found. Hershey's has a 100 calorie bar. I bought a big thing at Costco and they have 2 to choose from in the box that I got. 1 is a chocolate covered wafer cookie (it reminds me of a kit kat) and the other is chocolate covered pretzel bars. They are both really good!

Those darn churros!

Guess what -i didnt succumb to the churro! OR the pizza that was SCREAMINGGGG my name and telling me "just one of me wont hurt-its the 5 extra's you eat that do!" i told myself..i just worked out-im only here at sams club to get what i need..then im OUT! i have a protein shake waiting for me at home and a tasty carb bar-which did not dissapoint!

DETERMINED!

So yesterday i hit the gym after 2 WEEKS that i took off (the LONGEST break ive taken so far!) -i brought becca into kids club only she DIDNT want to stay...rhghghg so i had to drive her CLEAR (3 minutes away) back home to hang with jon and i went back..
Today we did the routine again only AGAIN she didnt want to stay RHGHGHGHGH so drove her back home AGAIN to hang with jon..
Lets just say i've LEARNED my lesson and she wont be coming!!! Today was arms workout followed by cardio on the precor..ive started this new thing where i do it for 3 minutes then do it REALLY FAST (as fast as i can) for 1 minute then do it regular for 3 minutes and fast again for 1 minute..it helps to keep changing your heart up so its ALWAYS working..im pretty sure by just doing this i'll be in my size 4 jeans in NO TIME- KIDDING!!

Week 1...

I really supposedly started last week when my kids started school...I can't commit to exercise, I really just despise it too bad...So I was just going to eat better. I did so a few years ago and lost almost 40 lbs just by changing my eating habits. I went back to eating normally (which for me means whatever I want, and alot of it!)and maintained for a long time..Until May when I started on birth control pills...Stupid things! I have gained about 8 lbs since then...So this morning when I weighed, I had lost only .8 lbs...Not too surprised though...I had lost some inches though, I'm sure some of it has to do with how I measured, but I'll take it...So basically my plan is, try to be really good for lunch and dinner, then eat normally for dinner...It's worked before, hopefully it will work now...Do you guys have one food that is seriously so killer to you? Mine is pizza, I swear, I love it so much I could eat a whole one! Well, alright, I don't think I could eat a whole one...But it's the one food that I ALWAYS overeat with. I just can't help it! I just love it so much. Ugh. Stupid food, why can't we just eat what we want and stay a normal size? Really? Hope all of you girls are doing well!

Your LAST good meal...

So today (Sunday) will be your LAST good meal! I hope everyone is encouraged and excited to begin the next 4 months. This will be a place where everyone is welcome to post how they are doing-or how they are struggling and just need some motivation. It is also a place to add ANY tips or tricks you have! I will make it so that anyone can post on here (both posts and comments).

My trick is i eat the SAME thing for breakfast, a bowl of either oatmeal with splenda or cream of wheat with splenda. Also after my workout at the gym i shug a quick protein shake.

Welcome to the Blog!

Seems like there are many of us that are ready to start looking good! Im putting together this blog so that we can be more committed to working our way to where we want to be. We will be doing this BEGINNING AUGUST 27th for 4 MONTHS. After the holidays we will resume again in January for another 4 MONTHS. Then again for another 4 MONTHS.

So here's to Looking Good One Day at a Time!
